Outcome

A secure, tested, versioned agent skill with manifest, provenance, license, changelog, security guide, and platform adapters, derived from real SOPs, examples, and failure cases.

Buyer fit

Built for a specific job.

Operator or team with valuable standard operating procedures (SOPs) but lacking a reliable agent implementation to execute them.

Scope

Workflow and duplication audit; SOP, example, and exception intake; trigger, inputs, decisions, outputs, and approval extraction; narrow skill architecture and progressive disclosure; reference, template, and script creation; safety and prompt-injection review; happy, edge, failure, and adversarial tests; platform adapter creation; documentation, manifest, provenance, license, and changelog; release and maintenance plan.

GOOD FIT

Operators and teams with valuable SOPs but no reliable agent implementation

NOT FOR

Users seeking fully autonomous agents without human oversight; those needing to bypass safety or approval gates for speed.

System architecture

Instructions, controls, and proof in one package.

  • Workflow and duplication audit
  • SOP, example, and exception intake
  • Trigger, inputs, decisions, outputs, and approval extraction
  • Narrow skill architecture and progressive disclosure
  • Reference, template, and script creation
  • Safety and prompt-injection review
  • Happy, edge, failure, and adversarial tests
  • Platform adapter creation
  • Documentation, manifest, provenance, license, and changelog

Compatibility

Claims stay behind test evidence.

Guided means the package supplies platform-specific instructions but has not yet earned a native claim. Playbook means the method transfers, not the install format.

Approval gates

The operator knows where to stop.

  • G1

SOP intake approval before extraction work

  • G2

Safety and prompt-injection review approval before testing

  • G3

    Platform adapter approval before release

Security constraints

  • No secrets, private client data, hidden network calls, or unsafe approval bypasses
  • At least three happy, two edge, two failure, and two adversarial tests pass
  • Static security scan is reviewed manually
  • Claimed platform compatibility is actually tested
Acceptance criteria

Done has a definition.

  • The new skill does not duplicate an existing class-level skill without a clear reason

  • No secrets, private client data, hidden network calls, or unsafe approval bypasses

  • At least three happy, two edge, two failure, and two adversarial tests pass

  • Static security scan is reviewed manually

  • Claimed platform compatibility is actually tested

Questions

Before you install.

Does Foundry build agents for me?
No. Foundry gives you a system to convert your SOPs into agent skills, including reference, template, script creation, safety review, testing, and platform adapters. You build the skill using the system.
Can I use Foundry for client SOPs?
Yes. Foundry includes NDA boundaries and data preservation so you can work on client SOPs without mixing client data or breaking confidentiality.
What if my SOP references proprietary tools or data?
Foundry includes safety and prompt-injection review to handle proprietary tools and data references, ensuring no secrets, private client data, hidden network calls, or unsafe approval bypasses.
