Music education · Website rebuild

A new home for making music.

We rebuilt Kevin Wakefield Music’s website with a refreshed identity, dedicated lesson pages and a clear route to an introductory meeting. The site brings the studio’s teaching, performances and music technology into one experience, while keeping the existing student portal available.

The brief

A clear job.
A distinct experience.

What the website needed to do

Kevin teaches music in the Spokane area and online. The website needed to explain the different lesson options and help prospective students take the right first step. We organized the experience around those decisions, with room for Kevin’s personality and hands-on approach to music.

The approach

The experience connects lesson discovery with the studio’s introductory-meeting process, while giving current students a familiar route back to their existing portal.

01 / Lesson discovery

Eight ways to explore lessons

Dedicated pages cover piano, keyboard and synth, voice, guitar, bass, trumpet, saxophone and music production. An online-lessons page explains the remote option. Visitors can browse by instrument or use the instrument finder to explore a possible starting point.

02 / Interactive music

Music visitors can try

A playable keyboard gives the homepage a musical interaction of its own. It sits alongside recital and video content, an FAQ and a blog, so the experience extends beyond a list of services. The keyboard also connects naturally to the keyboard and synth lesson offering.

03 / Inquiries + students

An inquiry route that fits the studio

The main call to action asks for an introductory meeting. The request form gathers the information Kevin needs to begin a conversation, with optional instrument, format and scheduling details. Requests are routed to his inbox. Current students have a separate route to the existing My Music Staff portal.

04 / Launch foundation

The launch foundation

The delivered rebuild included a new logo and visual direction, redirects from old page links, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Bing Webmaster Tools. These give the studio a website it can keep developing and a foundation for reviewing search activity and inquiries over time.
